Who is in-charge at Police XI?

Initially, the club explained that Hunda's absence from the bench was due to ill-health even though Mogwadi began coaching before the Zimbabwean mentor went on sick leave. It has been two months since Hunda recovered but Mogwadi is still in-charge. There have been reports linking Hunda to the vacant coaching post at ECCO City Greens but he maintains that he is still in-charge at Police XI. 'I am still Police XI head coach, so I am not going anywhere,' he said.

He stated that other clubs have tried to recruit him but since he is still contracted to Police XI, he has not considered the offers. At Police XI, Hunda cannot clearly define the difference between his role and that of Mogwadi.

Team manager, Pester Gabolekwe has said it is Hunda who asked Mogwadi to help him. But he was quick to add that Mogwadi is not Hunda's assistant. 'Hunda is back at work after his illness. We gave him some time to rest after he recovered but now he and Mogwadi are working together. Hunda is the head coach while Mogwadi is the coach. They prepare the team together and discuss tactics and there are no problems,' Gabolekwe told Mmegi Sport.

However, sources close to the team say that Hunda was told to let Mogwadi be in-charge of the team until the end of the season. Apparently, the Zimbabwean coach's problems with his bosses started when he publicly criticised and fired players who lacked discipline. The same players have returned to the team despite Hunda insisting they would not play while he is in-charge. Hunda signed a two-year contract with Police XI which still has a year to run.
