Attorney dies, murder trial postponed

Letsididi postponed the trial date from yesterday until the accused has a representative. The accused will remain in custody. The 41-year-old Goganetsamang Oatlhotse of Shashe-Mooke is accused of stabbing his wife with a knife in the throat in 2007.

The state alleges that when the nine-year-old son and his siblings came from school around 1pm, their mother sent them to go and fetch water and look for a missing goat.

When they arrived from their errands at night, one of the young children is alleged to have gone to their mother's hut where she came back running after seeing their mother lying motionless on the floor with a knife in her throat. The children reported to the neighbours after which investigations ensued.
