Zambia's Paloma sent packing to the barn

Paloma has thus joined Kenya's Sheila, Uganda's Hannington, Malawi's Code, Angola's Tatiana, South Africa's Lerato in the barn.  Left with roughly five weeks the M-Net reality show's housemates are getting fewer and fewer, but this time around viewers cannot complain of boredom as most of the evictees are still in the game - at least viewers can still see them on their television screens.

Following the eviction show, it was announced that in three weeks two barnmates will go back into the house and stand a chance to win the money, and that will be done through public voting. The grand finale is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 17.  While some took time to settle in the barn, for Paloma settling down was not much of a problem as she woke up early, and decided to tackle her first day in Barnville like a true champion. Without complaining, she milked Juliette, washed the dishes and spruced up the entire Barn.  Paloma did not need anyone to tell her where the broom and the brushes were, and she worked furiously without a whimper. She milked the cow without any problems and then proceeded to tackle the dishes.

Once that was out of the way, she fell on her knees and scrubbed the floor with so much vigour that Sheila couldn't help but throw a comment her way: 'I did not know those tiles were that colour, Paloma.' Paloma moved the fridge around and then attacked a dusty corner.   All the while, Code was outside doing his laundry. Tatiana was upstairs still snoring away under the blankets. Hannington, Sheila and Lerato then settled in for a card game and seemed amused at Paloma's energetic cleaning. Meanwhile, Kaone, Meryl and Uti engaged in a serious fight, which started on Saturday and continued into Sunday.  Kaone or K1, as he fondly called in the house, made an insinuation that Meryl was cheap, but that was after Meryl had taken a swipe at Kaone, calling him sexually frustrated and in his defence, Kaone ended up telling Meryl that she was 'sexually overused'. This comment was just one of the things the other Housemates took exception to as he tried his best to annoy everyone on Saturday night.

Munya attempted an intervention, trying to prevent Kaone from going too far with his insults and jibes. Finally, Meryl, who already has a tenuous relationship with Kaone, put her foot down. Meryl told the girls that Kaone had called her a whore, they called him over to get him to apologise, but he refused.

He continued to joke and laugh about getting everyone riled up. Uti stepped in and threatened Kaone, but he didn't take any notice.  Paloma, who has always shared an alliance with Kaone, seemed to be the only Housemate who was willing to take his side and chatted and laughed about the incident with him.   Later on Mwisho, who had been cooling some beers in the swimming pool, dived in to get them out. Kaone fell into the pool and claiming that Mwisho had pulled him in.
