Why do people admire secularism over pristine ethics

Some people, due to lack of proper perception, especially those who are pro-abortion, have tried by all means to justify its 'rightness'.

Over the past few years, I have always wondered why so many people admire secularism over pristine ethics. It is simply because truth hardens a man's heart.

The more you try to inform and counsel someone about the truth, the more they harden their heart to the point of rejecting it. A lot more people seem confused with the question of when life really begins.

Does life really start at birth as some scientists claim?

When does life start?

Well there are obviously hundreds of answers to that question but I personally believe this is an idealised concept.

This question reminds me of a day more than 13 years ago when I was helping the elders sow seeds in the field. Two days later there were heavy rains, which resulted in massive floods.

One of the elders simply said, 'All life is gone from those seeds'.

So what is the rationale in this statement?

It is in the fact that the farmer was conscious of the fact that he understood that a seed, no matter what kind, carries life in it. The reason why any seed grows is because the moment it is sown, the life that has been dormant in it is activated and it automatically starts to progress towards maturity.

When you hold a seed in your hand, it is alive but not growing.

In other words, it is temporarily inactive but once it is sown, the life within it is automatically activated.

And this is the same with the human seed. Most people in this generation are now raising their families using the laws of so-called 'expert doctors' instead of returning back to the fundamental laws of God.

I am not saying I am against the reading of books or taking advice from 'experts'.

As a matter of fact, I do read books a lot and take advice once in a while, but I do not let them overrule my conscience concerning the sovereignty of God.

It is one thing when secular people try to dehumanize the unborn to support their view of abortion on demand. It is quite another matter when these same people attempt to distort the scripture and church history to fit their agenda.

We have entered into shades of grey with the question of when life begins because some of us have allowed ourselves to be drown in the sewer of permissive, secular humanism, in which there is no absolute right or wrong instead of taking the most excellent way where every person is responsible for his or her own conduct, where choices have consequences and where actions have implications.

New technology, although in some way it is good, is however unwelcome. I believe a rush towards progress, for example the introduction of the birth control pill, only leads to a regress in content and character of life.

But, unfortunately, this has now become the opposite in this generation. Mankind has modelled abortion in a way that suits them because of selfish ambition.

We have tried to justify when life begins in order to suit our own needs. Simply because human life is much more vulnerable in its early stages than in the mature stages does not give us the green card to massacre them while they are a week old in the womb.

I wish we could have more rational thinkers than analysts in this generation.

Maybe then mankind would see and appreciate the importance of life. I do not feel any remorse if it seems as if I have stereo-typed anti-abortionists. Morality should never be determined by popular or judicial opinion. I could argue against any topic concerning moral issues, including abortion, without reference to the Bible.

But my principles concerning life are founded and inspired by God's Word and not popular opinion or slogans.

In conclusion, abortion is simply extremely wicked and a cruel act. As one author once said, 'As a soul with God is a majority, so is one soul with God a priority'.

Proverbs 6:16 says, 'There are six things that the Lord hates... a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood...'

There is nothing innocent about killing an innocent soul that has no power to protect itself. So to all countries in the world that have legalised abortion or are in support of it, be conscious that we are accountable and answerable for it because all seed has and is life.
