Kgafela withdraws his contempt suit

According to a settlement agreement which has since been made an order of court.

In terms of the settlement Kgosi Kgafela should allow the church to worship in the Kgatleng district in accordance with the constitution of Botswana.

The application against Mmegi and its journalists has also been withdrawn on condition that Kgosi Kgafela will pay the newspaper the cost of the suit.

In respect of the Sunday Standard, Echo and their journalists the application has been withdrawn with no order to costs. Attorney Banyatsi Mmekwa acted for Kgosi Kgafela, Attorney Omphemetse Motumise acted for Mmegi and its journalists and Attorney Diba acted for The Echo and its journalists.
