Volleyball League resumes

During the two-month break, the clubs competed in the BMW Capital Motors Cup. Kalavango will be eager to revenge the defeat they suffered from their bitter rivals in the final of the BMW Capital Motors tournament last weekend. Kalavango coach, Batsho Mbangwa said they have identified their weaknesses in the last game. She said they have put their loss against Kutlwano behind them and they will approach the league match differently.

'A league game is different from a cup match and we are going to approach it in a different way,' Mbangwa said. She blamed their loss last weekend on the new ball used in the final. Mbangwa said unlike their opponents, they did not have a chance to practice with the ball before the final.

Kutlwano coach, Isaac Samuel is optimistic his side will prevail tomorrow. He said they are not going to approach the game differently from last weekend's cup final. 'Our strategy worked for us and it will make no sense to change it,' he said. He added that they are going to attack with six-in where the blocker plays just behind the attackers. Samuel said they desperately need to win the game to enhance their chances of being crowned champions.

Kutlwano is second on the log with 33 points behind Police who have 34. Samuel is worried that his players will need time to adjust to outdoor courts because they have been training indoors for the Capital Motors tournament. Though he will miss players who have not reported for training due to work commitments, he said he has able replacements.

In other women's fixtures, Prisons take on Chobe with Spartans taking on Mafolofolo and BDF VI. All games will be at the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks (SSKB) courts except the Prisons- Chobe duel in Mahalapye.

In the men's games, BDF VI takes on Difofane while Police play Chobe. Prisons will then confront Difofane and Chobe. On Sunday, Kalavango will have two games against Desert Kings and Kutlwano while Diphatsa will play Victory Seekers. Itekeng face Diphatsa in the last fixture of the day.
