Kaone okay with Uti's controversial win

Fielding questions from journalists during a press conference in Rodizio, Riverwalk in Gaborone yesterday.

Ramontshonyana said that 'anyone could have won the money' and that he felt that whoever won it 'deserved it'.

Ramontshonyana's comments come at a time when there is an uproar in some quarters about Uti's win, which is Nigeria's second in a row.  This controversial win has prompted some critics to label BBA, a Nigerian show.  Some feel the top prize should have gone to Zimbabwe's Munya Chidzonga.

Choosing to distance himself from the sentiments shared by many across the continent that Uti did not deserve the top prize, Kaone highlighted that things could always go either way in a competition of BBAS' nature.

'I do not think any game is fair, even life itself is not fair,' he said philosophically.

Asked how challenging it was to participate in the just-ended season of the BBAS as opposed to Big Brother Africa (BBA) in which he debuted, he said by the time he joined BBAS, he had realised that the reality show was not a friend-making venture, but one in which an inmate needed to be thick-skinned.

In BBAS, Kaone, who exited on day 84, learnt to poke fun at his fellow housemates and confront then when necessary.'Ke ne ka ithuta gore le nna ke simolole go kgoba batho, ' he said adding that in BBA, he tried to be both friendly and loving at all times, which did not work for him.

K1, as he is known to his legions of local fans further said that when he joined the house, he had not devised any strategy in an endeavour to end up pocketing the lucrative prize money.

Kaone pointed out that one of the greatest lessons that he demonstrated to other inmates was that Batswana were a peace-loving people who prefer talking as opposed to fighting.

He further said he would miss the arguments in the house, as some were enlightening although at times there were some that were greatly upsetting.

Kaone said that he would love to pursue a career as a radio presenter although he would look out for other opportunities anywhere in the world.
