Leero, Matsieng deny in-fighting

Just months after the talented stocky vocalist rejoined the group there have been reports that he and band mates were having differences and that he was considering pulling out of their latest project.

But Leero has vehemently denied such claims saying he and Matsieng were on good terms and that their project was on course.  'I am part of Matsieng and who ever has been spreading stories that I wanted my voice deleted from the coming album was probably just bored and needed something to say.  We are just about to release Matsieng's new album,' he said. Leero left the group three years back under a cloud of controversy just before the release of their hit album Tinto under Eric Ramco Records.  At the time there were reports that Leero decided to quit after he was denied a chance to lead the track Tinto while the musicians remained tight-lipped on the issue.

After Matsieng parted ways with the giant recording company last year, Leero was back in the fold performing at their shows and fans were just excited to see him back in the frontline dishing out hot numbers like Semakaleng.Matsieng's Kenalemang 'Roy' Kgabuki has also denied that they were having problems with Leero. He said that Leero was not with Matsieng for a collaboration album but was back as a member just like he used to be.

He explained that their former lead vocalist only quit the group because of personal differences with their former boss Eric Ramogobya.'We have never had any problems with Ditiro. In fact, we were all hurt when he left because we rated him highly, but it was something beyond our control.  Even after he left Matsieng we were still staying in the same house with him,' Kgabuki said.

He also told Showbiz that after the departure of Leero it became difficult for them hence their reluctance to release a follow-up to Tinto.

'We knew we needed him and when we finally came together again we were all happy and surely we cannot just throw away that even if we had some differences we would try by all means to sort them out.  He has a solo career, but he is also part of Matsieng and our next album will show people that we are unstoppable together.'

Kgabuki was also not willing to discuss the issue of them cutting ties with the company that gave them their big break in the business, saying they were just happy to have re-united with Leero who he believes would help the group re-capture their fading image.
