First Division still without a sponsor

Since MedRescue severed ties with the First Division three seasons back, there has been no sponsor.First Division North chairperson, Eatametse Olopeng said they are struggling to find a sponsor. He said the absence of a sponsor has sapped the morale of players, clubs and officials. 'We are still looking for sponsorship. We are aware that the absence of a sponsor affects the morale of the teams. We have decided to recruit a consultant to look for sponsorship on our behalf,' Olopeng said.

He said there are widespread rumours that clubs want to boycott fixtures until a sponsor is found. But he was quick to add that the clubs had not approached them about the issue.

'It is not official because the clubs have not yet approached us,' he said.
