Mmesi to return to Letlapeng?

The Ramotswa First Division side parted ways with the coach at the end of last season after they failed to secure promotion to the Premier League. BMC hired Mmesi as Kaizer Kalambo's assistant. But the outspoken coach has denied that he is on his way back to Ramotswa.

Mmesi helped Killer Giants gain promotion to the Premier League two seasons ago before being dismissed for lack of top-flight experience.

'I am an assistant at BMC. That is where my heart is at the moment. Letlapeng have called me about the coaching job but I am not going there.

I have not told anyone at BMC about Letlapeng's offer,' Mmesi said. He wants to achieve some targets at BMC and he believes that he is capable of leading a Premier League side.

Despite having been at BMC since the start of the season, Mmesi has not signed a contract. He denies signing a contract that could technically block him from moving to another club if he got a good offer.

'I was offered a two-year contract when I arrived here [at BMC] but I turned them down because I felt that it would not make sense to commit [myself] for such a long time as [an] assistant coach. If it was the post of head coach, I would have gladly accepted.

I felt only one year would be enough for me [to serve] as [an] assistant. I need to start thinking big,' Mmesi said.

After arriving at BMC, Mmesi's first big task was a game against town rivals, Extension Gunners which his team won 1-0.
