Tshosane concerned about Mongala, Ramatlhakwana

Despite minimal game time at club level, the duo have scored a total of four goals between them in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. Ramatlhakwana, who was recently at Vasco Da Gama on trials, has weighed in with three goals in the qualifiers while the Pirates' winger, Mongala, has scored one.

Tshosane is worried that by the time the Zebras face Tunisia in Gaborone, the pair would have gone for a long time without playing a competitive match.

'I am a little concerned about Mzambiya and JJ because they have not been active at their clubs. But I always tell them that they should keep working hard because they still have age on their side,' he told Mmegi Sport in Gaborone yesterday

The former BDF XI mentor believes loan moves for the duo would pay dividends.

'I recently advised them that when they seek loan moves from their clubs, they should approach their bosses in a polite manner. It is important to maintain relations with their current bosses because they may need to go back to the same clubs in future,' he said.

He is pleased that Vasco Da Gama linkman, Dirang Moloi, was on the bench for the first time for his new club after getting his work permit. The former Notwane and Mochudi Centre Chiefs' star made headlines when Vasco played Diphetogo Selolwane's SuperSport last weekend.

'I am happy Dirang was on the bench for Vasco - that is quite positive for him. He needs to continue working hard.'

Tshosane watched his charges brush aside a visiting Swaziland in a friendly international played at the new Lobatse Stadium on Wednesday.

The Zebras won 2-0 courtesy of goals by Pontsho Moloi and Mompati Thuma.

'I did not call the South Africa-based players deliberately because I wanted to try out players who have not had a chance to prove themselves. I was really impressed because they showed so much determination,' Tshosane said.

The match against Sihlangu was the Zebras' second preparatory match ahead of the crunch tie against Tunisia next month. He hopes the team will play one more friendly before the Tunisia game.
