Forgery suspects out on bail

The accused, Raphael Tshole (31), Joshua Ngele (35 )and Dumisane  Chengonbe (31), are accused of forgery and uttering a false document.

The accused allegedly acted together at Luxers shop and forged several Government Purchase Orders amounting to P67,000.

They presented the orders as genuine purchase orders issued by the government of Botswana.

In his ruling, the magistrate stated that he could not understand how the release of the accused persons would jeopardise police investigations. He said that 'this is a proper case in which the accused persons can be given bail'.

The accused will appear for mention on December 2.
