Ngele withdraws case from PSC

Ngele and his teammate, Thato Bolweleng have been in the centre of a failed controversial move to the league champions at the start of the season. Sources say Ngele has written a letter to withdraw his case from the PSC although efforts to get a confirmation from the committee drew a blank yesterday.

Mmegi Sport is reliably informed that Bolweleng could also withdraw his case. At the time of going to press, the Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Judge Mookodi could not answer questions because he was said to be in a meeting.

But Santos' disciplinary committee chairperson, Kenna Odirile said yesterday that it would be unfair to talk about the issue as they are still to sit and discuss the two players' fate. At the time of going to press, Odirile said he had received correspondence from Ngele although he was not aware of exactly what it was about. He was yet to collect the letter. 'As soon as we finalise everything about this issue, we will let the public know. At the moment, there is nothing really to tell the public,' he told Mmegi Sport.

The players have been idle this season after their move to Rollers stalled and they were slapped with suspensions by Santos pending a disciplinary hearing. There were concerns that if the case drags for very long, the two players' talent could go to waste. The two were part of the national Under-23 side. Ngele was also in the senior national team set-up at some point.
