The bulley ripped through the mouth leaving a gaping hole and blood oozing from the open wound.  'These two people have a history of disputes in the family. They fought a few times and they even have a few cases with the police,' said one source.

The source added that the couple even fought a few weeks back leaving the wife with a broken hand and the man with a wound in the head.

Tatitown Police Station Commander Tebogo Madisa also confirmed the incident. 'The man shot and killed his wife with a gun and then went on to shoot himself and sustained injuries.  He was rushed to Nyangagbwe. We do not know the cause of the killings because the wife is dead and the man's face is ruined, there is no mouth or anything but the eyes,' Madisa said.

Meanwhile, Tutume police are investigating a case in which a 25-year-old Zimbabwean man hanged himself last week Tuesday evening after having a misunderstanding with his 23-year-old Zimbabwean girlfriend.

According to Tutume police station commander Superintendent Vusimusi Jorowe, the deceased, George Ngara, visited his girlfriend at McConnell College where she was staying and working as a housemaid at the teacher's quarters.  The deceased then asked his girlfriend to step outside the house so that they could resolve their problems but she refused to do so. Jorowe said the girlfriend had given a report that the boyfriend had been abusing her. Jorowe said Ngara hanged himself on a tree just in front of the house where the girlfriend worked.  Both Ngara and the girlfriend did not have work permits.

'We have charged the teacher who employed the non-citizen with no work permits. I appeal to the public not to hire illegal immigrants or those without work permits and passports to reduce this kind of problem in our country,' Jorowe said.
