Inter Milan ace Sneijder: Mourinho wanted me at Real Madrid

The Holland international, who is a favourite for the Ballon d'Or, left Real Madrid a year ago and set about winning the treble at Inter.

Sneijder revealed: 'Of course [Mourinho has tried to make me leave for Real]. We have stayed in touch. But it's impossible.

'I don't want to go back to a club who treated me in this way. I can't act as if nothing happened.'For me, Madrid is ancient history. I will never play for Real again.

'After the Champions League Final [at the Bernabeu] I came across Florentino Perez in the stands.

'He congratulated me. 'You deserve it,' he said. I just said thank you and shook his hand. I am not the kind for revenge.'
