Ndoro on a Hatrick as Nico sinks Peril

Tendai Ndoro scored a hat trick as Nico United compounded Black Peril's problems with a 3-2 victory at the SSK on Saturday. The Zimbabwean forward first struck in the 6th minute before netting twice in the second half to seal victory for Majombolo. The Zimbabwean forward should have opened the scoring in the 5th minute after his clever run through the sleepy Peril defence to connect a through ball but shot straight at Tumiso Mashakola in the Peril defence.

Kaizer Molapo should have doubled the lead for Nico four minutes later but wasted a glorious opportunity. Seven minutes after Nico's goal, Peril striker Lally Oabile used his skill to beat the opponents' defence and fired a powerful shot past Ntungamile Tshoganetso to level the score for the Tlokweng based team.

But a minute later Ndoro broke loose again beating Batlhalefi Nakedi but Mashakola did well to block with his left thigh and force a corner. Ndoro who was a constant thorn in the opponents' defence did well in the 29th minute to set up Molapo who fluffed the opportunity.

The two teams were locked at 1-1 at recess but it was Nico who came back with more fire in the second half as they pressed their opponents and with Peril defending too deep, it gave the visitors more time to focus on attack than worry about defending. Ndoro was back to haunt the hosts in the 52nd minute when he headed home a corner kick to make it 2-1 for Nico United.

It was clear that defender Nakedi lacked ideas on how to keep the lethal Ndoro in check and five minutes after his second goal the Zimbabwean striker beat Nakedi on the right and spotted Mashakola out of his line and sent a low ball to complete his hat trick.

Peril launched attacks trying to get back into contention and it paid off in 66th minute when Oaitse Lemme tapped in from close range to make it 3-2.

The goal seemed to give them confidence as they continued to raid the opponents' penalty area but lack of good coordination meant there were no goals to show for their attacks despite a series of set pieces earned in the process.
