BDF VI seek revenge against Kutlwano

In the other semi-final, Police play Diphatsa for a place in Sunday's final.

BDF VI will be seeking revenge after they twice lost to Kutlwano in the league and Zone VI competitions early this season. Affectionately known as 'Big house', Kutlwano have been in scintillating form this season and are favoured to win the Top Eight competition. Coach Isaac Samuel said their battle against BDF VI would not be a walk in the park as the game can go either way.

He said dominating BDF VI in the past was no guarantee that they would triumph tomorrow. 'No one can say it is not going to be a tough game, but we have prepared enough to win,' Samuel said. He added that they understand how bruised BDF VI is.

'But we have old scores to settle as they denied us the opportunity to win everything on offer this season after they captured the BMW Capital Motors trophy,' Samuel said. He added that BDF is not as strong as it was in the past years but cautioned that it does not mean his team should relax. 'They are still a big team though their play has declined,' he said.

BDF finished second in Pool B after beating Spartans and Desert Kings and losing to Police.

BDF VI coach Selebatso Mabutho does not think that there is anything special with the match and said he is preparing for the game just like any other. He said Kutlwano is  under pressure as its supporters expect them to continue with their dominance. Mabutho vows to halt Kutlwano's dominance. 'This is our time. This is a tournament game and it is a different ball game altogether,' he said.  In the second semi-final, Police coach Daniel Ngozi will come face to face with his former side, Diphatsa. It will be a battle of young sides and it remains to be seen who will come out tops.

In the women's category, Kutlwano play Kalavango while BDF VI and Mafolofolo contest the other final. Winners in both categories will win P10, 000.
