Eunice Bites The Dust

None of the judges gave Eunice a vote to stay in the race but rather preferred that Kgalalelo Abotseng and Stephanie Johnson who were up for eviction remain.

Mokwena was not a newcomer to the show as this was her second time trying her luck in the music competition. However, her hopes of becoming the star this year were dashed rather too early for her liking as she declared that she would have wanted to remain in the competition. Mokwena said that this is probably her last time to enter the competition.

On sending Mokwena home, Keabetswe   Master Dee Sesinyi lamented on the fact that in the last competition Eunice had gone a little bit further though this time she was sent packing early.

Mokwena has not been doing very well in the competition as she did not show any maturity in terms of her vocals. Two weeks ago, Sidney Baitsile had told her that they were looking for a winner and she simply was not it.Unlike last week when they composed their lyrics, this time around the contestants' task was made easier as they had their lyrics and instruments set out for them.

Therefore, their job was simply to add a melody and come up with the song.  Kgalalelo Abotseng and Galaletsang  Kasweka were, however, the only contestants to be given credit by all the three judges for maintaining a balance in both songs they performed.

Galaletsang, who was clad in a black mini-dress, set the stage on fire as she wowed the crowd and heard herself being declared a star by both Master Dee and Kgomotso Tshwenyego,  while Sid gave her the thumbs-up for making it happen.

Sid, however, did not spare the emotional Gaone Ditirafalo, telling her that she fell 'from grace to the grave' as well as Kediboye   Gaotseelwe whom he said had taken him to heaven when she performed Tina Turner's Simply The Best only to take him to hell when she sang her task song.

As a reminder Kgomotso cautioned contestants to take their task songs seriously as she had noticed that they sang other people's songs better than their own.

Eunice walked away with a Mascom hamper comprising a cell phone, P100 airtime and a P2 000 cheque, among others.
