It's Goodbye To London For Poor Tebogo

Yes they did, they sent the only hopeful male contestant packing. Tebogo kissed the prospects of going to London let alone have an album under his belt under the auspices of My Star goodbye last weekend.

Not that Mpho is being given the red tape before the voter does, but looking at the fact that his performances have not been so mind-blowing and failure to earn positive comments from the competition's six judging eyes, his is a shortlived journey to London.

While those that are endowed vocally and performance-wise will surely sail the red sea, the weakness in others is emerging. Interestingly, both the judges and revellers are appreciating the vocal aptitude in Gaone and Galaletsang. The pair kicked off the race with elements of shyness; a lack of confidence that in turn led to a non-felt stage presence. In particular, Gaone usually got what could be called an over stagefright though one could feel the singer in her, her slip-ups literally buried the talent in her.

Opening the show with Think Twice, in a good-looking mini dress and an equally revived self-imaging, Gaone was wonderful on stage. She got positive comments from the judges too.

'That's a very nice opening,' Kgomotso said.

Galaletsang is yet another contestant who has the voice but lacks interest and a sense of enjoying what she does that has always shadowed her abilities. With Power The Of Love, the audience however felt the power in her voice as she also got good remarks from the trio of Sid, Mater D and Kgomotso.

'The top 10 position should be yours, you did fairly well in that song,' Master D said.

Though the duo have finally started competing and not just being part of the competition it is not going to be smooth sailing as other contestants have from the onset devoted not only their breath but energy and a positive attitude to the game.

Omphemetse desisted from the Jackson-style this week, combining singing with dancing. She is one of the contestants who have been giving the competition their all, (despite her monotonous style;) she showcased her other part and she is one of the contenders likely to spring a surprise.
