The bright stars in Rollers' triumph

Kabelo DambeThe Zebras' goalkeeper took the be MOBILE Premier League by storm. After sitting on the bench for the most part of last season with Rollers using Anthony Matengu as a first choice, the former national Under-20 goalkeeper took the reins and never disappointed. He would have been an obvious choice for the Goalkeeper of the Season had the award been introduced this year. He is a strong contender for the Player of the Season Award though

Itayi GwanduThe tall Zimbabwean grabbed his second league medal in two consecutive seasons after winning the championship with GU last season. Many GU supporters could be wondering how their club easily let him move to traditional rivals but Rollers gained big time. He is one of the reasons why Rollers have been solid at the back this season. He never put his foot wrong and also guided his defensive partner, Oscar Ncenga very well.

Lawrence MajawaWithout doubt, some sections of Rollers' supporters could not understand why Rahman Gumbo had to bring the Malawian defensive midfielder when at the time, they had the likes of Boitumelo Mafoko, Lesego Molemogi as well as Amos Godirwang. But the Zimbabwean coach knew exactly what he was doing. The Malawian has been a pillar of strength in midfield. He has been consistent all season. When Mafoko moved to South Africa to join Cape Town Santos, Majawa became an immediate replacement. He has shown his experience and strength against some of the best midfielders in the league including the likes of Dirang Moloi.

Joel MogorosiHe has not been given the credit that he deserves by the media and the supporters but Mogorosi is the reason Rollers scored so many goals. He has been a constant threat to many wing backs for the entire season. Together with another Rollers' sensation, Edwin Moalosi, they have arguably provided more assists than any other players in their team or even the league. His major strength on the wings is his pace - something that has been seriously lacking in the national team for some time now. He is a good leader for Mapalastina.

Terrence MandazaNo words can adequately describe the influence the Zimbabwean striker had on Rollers' league campaign. He re-wrote the league's history books when he broke Master Masitara's scoring record. Masitara scored 29 goals while still at Nico United. Mandaza is currently on 31 goals and still counting.

He is in the running for three awards this season - Player of the Season, be MOBIILE Green Boot as well as the Coca-Cola Cup top goal-scorer. He is a marvel to watch.

He possesses an incredible first touch as well as dribbling skills. He is the main reason why Rollers have been unstoppable this season. He has already caught the eyes of several foreign teams mainly in South Africa.

It would be a great loss to both Rollers and the league should he make a move outside the country but his exploits this season proved he can succeed in tougher leagues.
