No arrests yet in grenade incident

On Monday, police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Christopher Mbulawa, said their investigations are continuing and they have not made any arrests yet. A grenade is a military weapon, usually thrown at enemy forces during war. The grenade explodes and kills or destroys buildings when thrown from a short distance.

It was not immediately clear how the grenade, a strictly military weapon, landed at the Office of the President.

The police said the grenade was defused on the same day after security personnel was called to the scene. At the time of the discovery, cabinet ministers were holding a meeting at the Office of the President.
