Vomit out on bail, shaves off the Moshe beard

Last week at a Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) event  Dr Vom was seen in Zebras jersey, jeans, with a clean shaven face, not  that long white beard, as if it had finally dawned on him that he would always be remembered for his Zebras  hit song, Tsaya thobane than  the flop  called Ke tshwana le moshe (I'm just like prophet Moses) that he released last year.

However, in an interview with  Showbiz, Dr Vom  said  he was forced to shave  off his long white beard  by officials at the Lobatse Prison, where he served for a few days before being released on bail on Tuesday last week.

The music star was locked up after failing to comply with a child maintenance court order.

'I would have loved to keep the long beard, but the government made me do it; I had no option. But I have not given up  the Moses look, you should know that,' he said as he  announced he was headed for Mahalapye where he was  billed to perform at a wedding.

Upon the release of  his  prophetic Dikhwaere album last year  Dr Vom, formally known as Vomit,  designed a unique Middle Eastern or mosaic costume  to coincide  with his prophet Moses album as he tried to look like the biblical seer he was singing about.   He had since made it a habit to  be seen in the streets and  official forums  in prophet Moses pose; a huge walking stick, a   long white  gown, prophetic robes and long white beard.
