Buju Mujo returns to Molapowabojang

But his followers can now smile because the big man is coming here for Easter holidays.  The promoter of the show, Super Letshabo, who is also the owner of the club, is excited about the show billed for April 3. The Pretoria based musician is bringing with him popular disc jockeys (DJs) Ma Eli and Mashavula for a fun- filled night.

'I know people all around the country have waited so long for such a show and we are giving them that rare opportunity. It is not always that you get a chance to see Buju playing live,' he said.

The event will be a good mixture, with disco sensations Mercy M and Thabile Mazolwana also billed to perform and if Mazolwana's recent performance during the Splash tour is anything to go by then revellers should brace themselves for a real fun-filled night on the outskirts of Lobatse.

Mazolwana's new album Accused No 1, released under Eric Ramco Records, seems to have helped him bounce back into the limelight though not in the same way as his debut Isiponono introduced him to the masses and every time he took the stage at the Splash shows fans just went wild.  Mercy M has been missing from the scene for some time and as an upcoming artist she should take advantage of such an opportunity to market herself to the big crowds expected to flock to the venue to watch the more popular acts like Buju Mujo and Mazolwana. Admission fee is P40, but those who make it to the venue before 11 pm will get a P10 discount.

The fun in Molapowabojang starts this coming weekend at the Splash grand finale on Saturday. Dan Tshanda leads his entourage comprising Patricia Majalisa, Don B (Donald Botshelo) Matshikos, Dalom Kids, Peacock as well as new kids, reggae musician Patric Riba as well as rising gospel startlet Slindile, who before could even release her debut album, has made an enormous impression on the fans. Last month Splash pulled a record crowd at Loins Park in Gaborone and they are hoping to repeat the feat at Molapowabojang, which has also proved to be good hunting ground for the disco artists.
