Sources reveal that the team consists of two former ministers Ray Molomo and Patrick Balopi both of whom have served as Speakers of Parliament, Ngwato royal Sediegeng Kgamane and former Police Commissioner and Kweneng native Simon Hirstchfeld.

A few months ago Khama met with Kweneng royals who expressed concern at the state of affairs in the region. The installation of the investigating team is a result of the meeting.

Bakwena deputy Paramount Chief Keineetse Sebele confirmed the meeting to Mmegi in an interview yesterday.'We as the royal family led by Kgosi Kgari Sechele, did approach the President on this matter. We indicated to him that we were worried about the state of disunity in our region and we wanted him to help us deal with this state of affairs,' he explained.

The probe team has been in the Bakwena and Kweneng capital, Molepolole meeting with various community leaders in the last week. On Monday last week, the team met with Paramount Chief Kgari Sechele and his deputies. On Wednesday, the team met with all dikgosana from the region. On Thursday it met the MP from the region.
