Miscellaneous in double win

With four games to go, Teenage Mpote and his charges look almost certain of making it to the be MOBILE Premier League.

The Serowe First Division club has not only been the most consistent side in the league in the second round but has vastly improved its scoring record. Miscellaneous are currently perched at the peak with 41 points, seven ahead of closest challengers TASC.

Orapa Wanderers are third with 30 points ahead of Great North Tigers on goal difference. However, TASC have two-games in hand and could still put pressure on the leaders.

Mpote recently told Mmegi Sport that he is used to working under pressure after coming close to winning promotion in the last three seasons.

Meanwhile, there might be no need for Satmos to entertain hopes of promotion this season after they suffered yet another defeat from Miscellaneous. The Selebi-Phikwe team is now fifth on the log with 26 points.

Orapa Bucs could have improved on their standing had they been more resourceful  against Sua Flamengoes in Orapa at the weekend. The game between the two sides ended in a 3-3 draw.

Mahalapye United Hot Spurs beat GNT 3-0 to maintain position four with hope of finishing second and qualify for the promotion play-offs.

Wanderers now look almost certain of going down following two defeats in two days. Before the thrashing by Miscellaneous, the Kasane-based team had earlier suffered a 4-2 defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Palapye United.

In the First Division South, leaders Black Peril who recently suffered a slump in form revived their title ambitions with a 3-0 victory over struggling Young Strikers. The win has left them at 34 points while it has complicated things for Young Strikers who have been showing signs of avoiding the chop.

The shock 1-0 defeat suffered by title challengers Prisons XI to Naughty Boys has ensured that they do not add to their 30 points. Letlapeng beat Mochudi Buffaloes 4-1 to keep their hope of promotion alive having pushed their tally to 29 points.
