Let Masire pay his debts

I mean really who has never worked for this country, our fathers have worked for this country and no one has ever bailed them out when they were under the hammer.

There are some who actually volunteer without pay for a lot of things, I know of old men who actually worked for Bangwato Tribal Administration without pay before independence and there are a lot all over the country who worked for this country and some are paupers and here are BDP MPs who want to bail out a millionaire with state funds. Masire choose to be the president, if he couldn't juggle his private life and his official life he could have left the presidency.  A lot of people are in debt and it is either their property is auctioned or they make a plan to pay their debts. For BDP members of parliament to think that the state should bail out Masire is ridiculous, for starters Masire has 2000 cows, six farms or more and he earns a salary as the chancellor of UB and his pension, which is not less P10 000 per month, in all accounts Masire is a wealthy man and he can take care of his debts.   If at all we (the nation) have anything to do with this bail out, it shouldn't see the light of the day. Why does Masire have to be bailed out every time ?

Masire can sell four of his farms and pay NDB, why can't he do that? Greed, that's why our country can be sold for P4 million. Masire has got children who are well off, why can't they help him? Rona we know that in hard times one turns to his family for help, so why can't Masire turn to his siblings and children or even grandchildren? Masire wrote his memoirs and sold them for a fortune, he should pay NBD with that money.  I want Masire's property to be auctioned so that he can serve as an example to young people that if you don't service your loan, the bank hangs you to dry. Kana bo Masire are the ones who once wrote off their debts with NDB. Masire  actually refused to leave the presidency unless he was bailed out? How pathetic? Masire is sitting is his laurels and bo Tshekedi le bo Ntuane are saying we should bail him out, what are they saying about the P4 million he got from De Beers? They kept quiet and said nothing because they know their party actually got their fair share of the De Beers coffers, now they still want to drain our coffers to bail out a man who set in the office of the president for a very long time. While he was there, he didn't buy food, clothes neither did he pay utility bills, school fees were taken care off.

Why didn't he save his money or invest wisely, I will give you the answer, greediness? You see when a man is failing to live within his means it's simply because of greed, he wants to have a lot of things at a time. There is a case before the courts of law about some guys who are living beyond their means, that's where the former president should be.

If indeed its true Ntuane said Masire should be bailed out then he has disappointed me, of course with Tshekedi I am not surprised because whatever his brother says goes. If these two BDP MPs want to bail out Masire they should do that with their money or BDP money aba tsereng ko De Beers, not our money. I don't like protests but if these can happen out in the open, I would urge Batswana to protest all over the country. BDP government is wasting money ka bo Constituency league, now they want to bail out Masire, ao bathong naare motho yoo Masire ke eng, Modimo? When you take out a loan, there is an agreement, the state was not there and his loans did not in anyway benefit state, so he should be man enough to face the consequences, sell those cattle and other farms even some houses and remain with what you can manage.
