Kalakuta comes up with Skorokoro Tsa Manyalo

The album has popular Afro-Pop songs like Koloi, sung in wedding ceremonies. All the 12 tracks are celebration songs and would do well if used in a wedding celebration or a party.

Other interesting tracks include track seven, Phutha Re Tsamaye, an original song whose rhythm and tone will carry you to a different plain altogether. It frees that youthful spirit in you, moving your ethos as it tugs softly at your heartstrings.

For any music lover, especially those who love Afro-Pop, it would be difficult to ignore this song.

The love song urges a bride, to get her belongings and leave her mother's abode to go and build her new family with the bridegroom. The song captures in full the traditions followed during a marriage process.

Actually, the whole song is a guide on what happens from start to finish; the negotiations and the marriage ceremony up to what the bride and groom should do when married.

The album would come in handy for the young ones who want to tie the knot and observe the Tswana tradition of marriage.

The album was produced by Tex Ramogobya, Kalakuta Records owner, who said of the album: 'This album will once again change the music culture of our country.'

He co-produced the album with T-Bouz, whilst the lead singer is Tidimalo Inalengwe from Lentsweletau. She started singing at an early age at church as lead singer.

'At primary school she developed interest in music and joined traditional dance as well as drama.

She was a member of Molodi wa Koma, Molelo Theatre Group, Kabelano Theatre Investments and currently she is with Galatau Traditional Group,' revealed Ramogobya.

Other singers in this project are T-Bouz and Stuka.

Ramogobya said that they also featured traditional artist Kaizer of Kaizer and Dinganga fame, Miras of popular Matsieng Group and a newcomer in the music industry, Natash.
