Stanbic Bank donates to Charity

P20,000 was presented to the Cheshire Foundation during their annual charity walk which was held recently in Gaborone. 'We are most delighted and humbled by this donation from Stanbic Bank.  These funds will be used to support the work of the Mogoditshane Rehabilitation Centre. The Centre provides professional rehabilitation services to almost 5,000 people living with disabilities through residential, daycare and outreach programmes,' says Billy Masebola the Executive Director of the Cheshire Foundation.

'We are proud of our people at the bank who have participated in the sponsored walk over the years. Stanbic Bank has been involved with the Cheshire Foundation for over 10 years. We are especially honoured by the accolade from Cheshire Foundation which saw the bank being named the 'Most Outstanding Supporter' following our long-term support of the Foundation,' says the Stanbic Bank Head of Private Banking Sabrina Mahlalela. The other P10, 000 went to Sekolo sa Anne-Stine - a Centre for handicapped Children. The Centre, which is fully equipped with Stimulation, Pre-School and Rehabilitation Departments, relies heavily on donations to fulfill its daily operations.

'This money will go towards the improvement and sustainability of the much needed services of Sekolo sa Anne-Stine. We are very grateful for this donation,' says the Centre Manager, Nankie L Kgosiemang.

'Stanbic Bank is proud to be able to assist those in need in the community. We hope that these donations will go a long way towards providing services for people living with disabilities in Botswana,' says Ruth Modisane, Stanbic Bank Public Relations Manager.
