Chris Manto 7 makes comeback

The artist, who is known for his albums Zwaka Pressa, The Journey Continues and Amerikano, said in an interview with Showbiz that the album has six tracks with the title track being Shakawe, which he named after he relocated to Maun from Gaborone.

He said that life is very good in Maun when compared to life in Gaborone.

'I was heartbroken because of what I experienced when I was still in Gaborone. I was robbed of P50, 000 by a certain crook who claimed to be my friend. That's why in my new album I have a song titled Ke Tshaba Magodu A Toropo so the song expresses what happened to him,'' he sad.

According to Manto 7, he delayed the release of the album because he wants to change his season of releasing albums. He said that he used to release in December and realised that there is a lot of competition around that time as many artists target the festive season.

He has also changed recording studios. He used to do his recordings at Double Studio in Gaborone, but he has now moved to CMD Studio in Maun. Manto 7 explained that he changed the studio because many kwasa-kwasa artists were recording at the studio so some of their beats were the same as the past albums because the guitarists were the same.

He further said that he is a partner in the studio so everything is going to be recorded at the studio unlike in the past when albums were recorded in different studios.

Manto 7 sampled some of his songs at the recent performance held in Francistown Gallo complex on the World Consumer Rights Day, which left his fans mesmerised.
