Pacesetters Kgalalelo and Eunice charm revellers

With Long Distance, the pretty faced Eunice who never disappoints those who dedicate Friday nights to the grooming of a star, delivered a sensational piece to the delight of the revellers.  This won her credits from the trio of Master D, DJ Sid and Kgomotso, who showered her with positive comments.

'You have been doing well since we started,' one of the judges said.

Meanwhile, Kgalalelo who has got an equally powerful stage presence and a reasonable amount of fingers clicking her voting number also performed a mind-blowing piece in If This Isn't Love. With a wardrobe sense that is a treat to the eye, Kgalalelo's road to London seemed to be nearing - that is if she continues to give the competition the energy and consistency it deserves.

Like it has been said before, this year's Making of a Star is quite an interesting exercise as there are numerous diamonds in the rough. However, the judges continue to worry about lack of seriousness by the aspirants.

'It is about four weeks since the competition started, but you guys are not serious,' Sid said.

Wame is also one contestant whose vocal abilities could take her up the ladder in the music industry. With strong vocals she gave the show a beautiful opening with I Would Be. Other best performers in the competition like Kedibonye, Lorato, and Stephanie did not give the judges what they were looking for. Vocally bestowed Stephanie received negative feedback from the judges, especially from Kgomotso who dubbed her performance of the night boring, particularly due to, 'her choice of boring' songs.

The Jackson family-style lover, Omphemetse had to defend her days in the competition when she came part of the bottom four with Thusego, Ofentse and Oratile. Thusego was saved, leaving her three partners in the battle for stardom in a war of vocals to the United Kingdom (UK).

With what the judges often refer to as a 'weak male competition', Ishmael, who was among the bottom performers last week, was shown the way out of the 2010 My Star competition.

'Ishmael you have lost hope in yourself, as for you, Omphemetse you have actually shown that this is a battle,' Master D said.

Oratile, whose voting number has proven to be the least of digits in the audience's voting mechanisms, once again escaped the red tape that loomed before her and stardom.

The audience reception that she gets on stage can be dangerous to her musical aspirations. Sid encouraged her to carry on in the competition despite what people think of her.

The show got an anointed close with Galaletsang performing My Redeemer. Though it was a well-done piece, judge Sid felt she went for an easy one, which has never been done poorly by any contender in the My Star history.
