Peril should thank TU's lack of composure in front of goal for the draw otherwise they could have been given a hiding in the all-Tlokweng clash. From the onset, Peril never played like a championship-chasing side.
TU players seemed to have come to the match with one thing in mind - to show their opponents that they are not superior though they are better placed in the log. Abashante players seemed over-elaborate with the ball instead of taking advantage of the wind blowing on their back to damage Black Peril.
Peril's midfield looked disjointed and Raymond Gumbo and Lallie Oabile often found themselves isolated upfront and had to go deep to collect balls. This gave TU defenders a chance to close spaces before the duo could cause any harm.
However, veteran former Mogoditshane Fighters' winger Thuso Diphefo's good performance in front of his goalkeeper Webster Nyathi played a big role in preventing the Black Peril strikers from causing harm.
Peril's first chance came in the 22nd minute but Oabile fluffed the opportunity following a good pass from Oaitse Lemme. A few minutes after the break, Peril made a few good passes which opened the opponents' defence but the final touch was poor.
Thalobo Nthaga tried in vain to bring life to the game with the introduction of Benny Machelo who replaced Oabile but this did not work as desperation had already crept in. He nearly suffered badly in the 60th minute when TU missed a clear cut chance with the goalkeeper well beaten.
