Sprint Couriers Appreciates Growth With Customers

Welcoming the guests at the ceremony were the founders of the company, the Commercial Director, Pinkie Setlalekgosi and the Financial Director Michelle Gabriel.

Setlalekgosi said they organised the event in order to show their customers that the company had grown and was moving to the better facilities because of their support.

She said the intention of the event was to interact with their customers in order for Sprint Couriers to understand them better.

In an interview with Mmegi, Gabriel said the company started in November 2006. She said she and Setlalekgosi became partners because they both had knowledge of business, especially Setlalekgosi who had worked for DHL for 10 years.

She said when they started their business, things were 'very tough' because there were existing competitors. When the company started, it was based only in southern Africa, with 12 offices in Botswana, five in Zimbabwe and the regional office in Midrand, South Africa. Gabriel said they want to become the leading courier service in sub-Saharan Africa and would be opening an office in Angola 'very soon'.

'The company has grown bigger because we have international strategic partners which transport products from Johannesburg to overseas and we no longer fear our competitors because we provide an excellent service,' she said.
