Hotspurs ready for Miscellaneous

Hotspurs public relations officer, Godfrey Ranthoka told Mmegi Sport that they are ready for the pace-setters. He believes Hotspurs still have an outside chance of winning the league

'We are playing at home and the pressure is on them. We are not scared that they are the pace- setters. In fact it gives us great motivation to be meeting a top team which came close to promotion last season,' he said.

Ranthoka said Hotspurs are bad travellers but often do well at home. 'I know my players always reach peak form when they play in front of home fans and we are counting on that,' he said.

Although coach Ernest Kupe lost the experienced Tintos Raditsebe who moved to BR Highlanders during the January transfer window, Ranthoka said they still had good players to compete with any team in the league.

'We have Mogomotsi Ferguson from Boteti Young Fighters and Osego 'Willie' Gaotewe  who used to play for GNT as well as Tebogo Raphaka who was registered from Extension Gunners,' he said.

But the man to watch is Thato 'Hatem' Madima who is currently on fire. It will be an emotional game for former Township Rollers' defender Letsweletse 'Tolba' Obudile who rejoined Hotspurs from Miscellaneous in January.

Miscellaneous assistant coach, Otsile 'Chippa' Koolese believes his team can extend his its three game unbeaten run though he was cautious ahead of the tie. 'Every team wants to bring us down. We won 1-0 against Orapa Bucs and Palapye United. This is a clear indication that everybody wants to do well against us,' Koolese said. He said members of the technical team are doing their utmost to keep the players focused.
