My Star trio set the pace

Galaletsang, Wame and Kgalalelo have been the stars of the show since the competition entered the song composition stage where the trio proved their unmatched skills.

Wame and Galaletsang in particular have been amazing not only with their song writing skills but the creativity and confidence they sparkle with on stage.  And they have not done that just once or twice. There isn't a weekend that goes by without the duo leaving their fans startled.

Then there is Kgalalelo, whom one of the My Star judges, DJ Sid has already declared the winner of the show.  He described her as the best ever, while Master D, the show producer and judge, said the girl has set a precedent in what she does.

While Wame and Kgalalelo have always been regarded as those talented ones along side Lorato, Omphemetse,  Eunice, Stephanie, Gaone,  Kedibonye and Lucia,  it is probably Galaletsang who can be described as the party crasher in this year's show.  She came from nowhere to establish herself as one of the rarest breed of song composers and  fantastic singers.

Interestingly, the trio of Galaletsang, Kgalalelo and Wame appear to have eclipsed even Kedibonye earlier,  earned raving reviews as the best vocally gifted singers in the show.  When it comes to cabaret renditions, Kedibonye  still has few equals, but it is  in song compositions or task songs that the trio of Wame, Galaletsang and Kgalalelo show Kedibonye  a clean pair of  heels.

Meanwhile, Omphemetse's star in the show seems to have faded  after mesmerising viewers with her impressive Michael Jackson moves.  She  is not faring well at all in task songs  and confidence seems to have suffered.  Along with one of the early favourites, Stephanie,  Omphemetse could be the next to exit the show.

While Stephanie looks hugely gifted, the singer has lately exhibited  some carefree attitude.  Last week she forgot most of the lyrics for the task songs.
