Konkrete has concrete plans for next album

He said in Botswana there are many young artists whose talent goes to waste because they are not given a chance to realise their full potential by the so-called established recording labels.

Konkrete said he would help unearth raw talent and build a name for Solid Musick Inc. He said he would accept any artist who has talent or shows potential under his label. He said that he would, however, be strict in the studio in order to ensure quality.

'I believe that to become a good artist one has to practise because constant practice makes perfect,' he said.Solid Musick Inc. is expected to start operating before September this year. Konkrete revealed that besides a recording label, he has business projects he has ventured into.

He, however, said he currently would not divulge any information because the businesses are still in their infant stages.

Konkrete said this does not mean he will stop his music career. He said he has done several cameos with different artists.

He revealed that he would not rush into releasing an album because his debut album titled Dekonstruction is still doing well on the market.

'My music is still playing in the Botswana airwaves and I'm getting requests for copies of Dekonstruction across the country,' he said.

Konkrete, however, said he is planning on releasing a mixtape this year as a promo for Solid Musick Inc. He said the mixtape would feature different Kalanga artists also known as the Kalanga Mafia including Apollo Diablo, Godemit, and Ghetto Prophet.

'My next album will be released early next year because I still need some time to introspect,' he said.Commenting on his new hairdo that has sparked a lot of conversation in the entertainment industry, Konkrete said cutting his dreads has nothing to do being an artist, but it was actually a personal decision.  He said his haircut was a sign of respect to his father who recently celebrated his birthday. 'We celebrated my father's birthday for the first time this year and because he never really liked my dreads I cut them off as a way of wishing him a happy birthday,' he said. Konkrete said that people still recognise him because of his distinct Kalanga features, which he describes as 'hard to forget'.
