Netball sponsorship galvanises Teams

Last month, Spar announced a P1.2million sponsorship much to the relief of BONA that has struggled to secure league backers in the past.

Ntekere said they have not encountered any hitches in the north although some teams fail to honour fixtures.'The league started well and up to now we have not encountered any problem. The teams are showing determination to win the league,' said Ntereke.

Winter rains disrupted the programme and some teams failed to turn up for their encounters. This will see the league late into July.

'Some games were not played due to the rains that fell recently. As a result, the league will now finish late in July instead of the first week of the month,' Ntereke said.

Francistown based side, TASC are expected to dominate the northern region league as they have done so in the past.

TASC won all their three opening games after beating Boasa 68-15, Mahalapye Railways 61-12 and Sowa Flamingos 81-9.

Morupule seem to be struggling as they have failed to secure a single win from the games played so far.
