Mosele Legal Services under the hammer

SAGG went to court claiming P92,651.49 against Mosele Legal Services and its director Tshoganetso Base Sebonego. Deputy sheriff Urgent Chilisa will sell eight computer monitors from Mosele, a server, a conference desk, five executive chairs and five office tables at the Broadhurst Police Station in an auction on June 30.

High Court documents reveal that on December 8, 2008 Mosele Legal Service and its director, through their attorney, Plato Gaoboi, tendered payment in the sum of P42,500, which they admitted owing SAGG Investments and disputed the balance of P50,151.49.

As a result, a consent order was made that Sebonego and his company pay SAGG the admitted amount of P42,500 and the balance of the claim was referred for trial on June 4, 2009.

However on the trial date, Sebonego and his company did not show up thus P50,151.49 was awarded to SAGG by Justice Maruping Dibotelo.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer for Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA), Oaitse Ramasedi said they are waiting for an explanation from Mosele before they take action against the company.

He said they are discussing the matter with Mosele Legal Services. 'We have given them a deadline to explain what is going on before we make a final decision,' Ramasedi said.

He added that as the licensing and regulatory authority, they are responsible for the regulation and orderly conduct of all non-bank financial institutions in the country.

Efforts to get a comment from Sebonego were futile as the office line rang unanswered, while his mobile phone was off.
