PJ Powers, HHP star at World Cup concert

The album, dubbed Penelope And Jabba Project also has a new song Futubolo, which is themed around the World Cup fever that has not only swept through the host country down south but the whole African continent. It is the first time in history that the continent hosts this kind of football competition.

Futubolo waxes lyrical about the beautiful game that is football and the joy.

The wordsmith that he is, HHP who has always proclaimed his love for Botswana, crosses the border into the country as he describes the fun and fact that the game is a unifying factor that knows no border.

He talks about places like Lobatse, which he calls a great clean town.

If you cross the border, from down south, bevies who love football, says HHP, will meet you. He says Botswana is a peaceful country that one would love to settle in.

This is a song that would definitely help put Botswana in the map. It is an advertisement that will definitely catch the eye of the tourist and people interested in coming to settle over here. The duo of PJ Powers and HHP are expected to perform the song and others in the album at the opening match between South Africa and Mexico tomorrow at Soccer City, Johannesburg.

Other songs in this album include PJ Powers 'Jabulani' song, which she remixed to give it a new verve and outlook, especially by roping in the talented HHP whose word flow makes the song sound fresh to the ear. There is the danceable Mafikeng a great production whose lyrical content and rhythm would make you stop and listen.

HHP here proves that indeed he knows his way around when it comes to Motswako. Other songs to look for are Feel So Strong, Music And Lights and many more.

In an interview, HHP's partner, with whom he shares Lekoko Entertainment together, Seabelo Modibe said that the new album is a concept that they had been toying with for quite sometime until they decided that it would be great to release it during the World Cup.

He said he was excited that they have been selected to be part of the groups playing at the opening match in Johannesburg. 'The music industry is tough and as you know there are a lot of players, hence we had to do our level best to ensure that we have an appealing product that could be performed for a crowd as big as the World Cup audience. It is quite an honour for us to be playing in Johannesburg.  As we speak I am on my way to South Africa, where I will be sitting with other VIPs,' said an excited Modibe.
