Mafolofolo, Kutlwano fail to shine

In fact the two sides looked disorganised and committed schoolgirl errors. The other disappointing thing about the two sides was the lack of commitment by some players as they displayed the 'I don't care' attitude after committing silly mistakes.

Kutlwano coach, Samuel Isaac agreed that the game was not as sparkling. He said the reason for that could be because teams nowadays resort to playing a tactical game than a physical one.

He said their aim in the game was to give Mafolofolo hard serves so as to confuse them. He said the other reason for the lacklustre performance could have been that the game was not a tournament game.

'You normally expect a game to be tough when it is a tournament game,' he said. Samuel also was not happy with the commitment by some players.

He said it was 'criminal to commit unforced errors' as most players do. He said players' lack of commitment is also evident during training sessions, as they always want to be pushed to do things.

He, however, observed that the level of play has been improving. He pointed out that there are some combinations and tactics that women players were unable to apply in the past but which they are now able to effectively apply.

Mafolofolo coach was, however, disappointed with his opponents not his own team. He said having represented Botswana at the Africa Championships, he expected much from Kutlwano.

'We were actually scared before we met them because we thought they had learnt a lot from the competition,' Ntshinogang said.

He said he was not worried about the way his team played because most of his players were new and that he was still building the team.

He is currently trying to make a winning combination. In their first game, Mafolofolo beat Prisons 3-0. Dynamites also beat Spiking Stars 3-0.
