Vultures to pounce on South Africans

The Vultures' coach, Neal Gouws told Mmegi Sport that the team will also play famed Blue Bulls' second string squad on June 12.

He said the Blue Bulls' game, which will be played in Gaborone, has been organised by Vultures' sponsors, Orange.

Gouws said he has selected the national squad during a training camp that was held in Selebi-Phikwe during this past weekend.

The coach selected his 26-men squad after a recent training camp.  Gouws, however, has to contend with a number of injuries in the squad, which has hampered preparations.

'Injuries should not make us panic because most of the players will be ready when we play in Zimbabwe,' he said. The Vultures play in the Confederations Cup which will be hosted in Zimbabwe.

He believes he has selected the right players who are hungry and determined to represent the country. For the Noordelikes' game, a number of players will be out due to injuries. Vultures leave for Harare, Zimbabwe, to take part in the Confederations Cup on June 27.

Botswana, Madagascar, Zimbabwe and Namibia will participate.
