Motlakase courts Mwaanga?

Reports from Harare say Mambas held a press conference on Wednesday where their sponsors Twalumba Holdings announced that Ndlovu has been appointed technical director at the newly-promoted side.  The ceremony was attended by Ndlovu's brothers - former Zimbabwe Warriors' captain Peter and Marko and his manager Hosea Bhebhe. 'We want to work towards sustaining our position in the league and the rest of the work will be done next season,' Ndlovu is quoted as saying.

Ndlovu will be expected to revive the team's fortunes after a poor start to the season that has seen them go seven games without a win. A source close to the nomadic coach has told Mmegi Sport that chances of the voluble tactician returning to Botswana are slim. 'I don't think he will come back because there is a project that he should start running in Zimbabwe. Twalumba Holdings is the same company that is going to fund Ndlovu's project in his home village of Binga where he will open a youth academy,' the source said.

Meanwhile, Motlakase chairman, Mangisi Segadimo has said he is not aware of Ndlovu's move to Mambas. He professed ignorance of reports that his club has approached Mwaanga. 'I am not aware of that (approaching Mwanga) but maybe one of us (officials) contacted him without our knowledge. We are still waiting for Madinda,' he said. 'We only read in the papers that he could be joining some team in Harare but he has not said anything to us,' Segadimo said. However, sources at Motlakase revealed that management has accepted that Ndlovu may not return and are courting Mwaanga, a respected veteran who has not achieved anything tangible in local football. During his stint at Gaborone United, the Reds played attractive football before he was sacked under unclear circumstances. 'Mwaanga phoned me saying the club management had contacted him asking if he is available for next season.

He could be the right man for the job because he is one of the best coaches we have in this country,' the source said.
