Oodima students' indiscipline worries community

The boys, who were identified after investigations, are waiting for consultations between the school and the regional office before action is taken against them. According to school head Gaonyadiwe Nyere, the level of indiscipline by students is so high that villagers have even approached school authorities to assist in this problem. Nyere said that is why last Wednesday they invited the village leadership to a meeting. Those invited comprised of Paramount chief's brother, Bakgatle Kgafela accompanied by Kgosana Molebatsi Semele of Oodi, Kgosana Carter Boiki Mpete of Dikwididing and Fanuel Mokalake of Modipane village. Also present at the meeting was councillor of Oodi Matebele and Modipane Dikwididi villages.  'We called them to talk to and advise the students to take their education seriously. We wanted them to emphasise that they should respect themselves, their fellow students, the school leadership. We have realised that they use profanities and when they go home they refuse to make way for vehicles on the roads,' Nyere said, revealing that residents of the village have even laid complaints at the school.  According to Nyere they realised that the students were becoming more wayward hence the decision to join hands with the parents and the leadership. 'It is true that they insulted me and were identified,' Nyere said.
