We're Stiil On Double Action Marriage-Botana

'For as long as we are both happy, we will continue with the sponsorship,' Botana said. He added that they are motivated by the team's exceptional performance in the league.

Botana said this in an interview after unveiling a P50,000 sponsorship for the team. Other companies that came on board to sponsor the team are Odipeca who will sponsor the team with clothing worth P200, 000 for two seasons. Gym studio will sponsor the team with gym activities worth P60, 000 and the gym has also dispatched two instructors to help the team.

Botana said they found it very easy to continue their sponsorship with Double Action because the team did not only win the league but also finished the season unbeaten.

Botana said the team has also given his company enough mileage. He said it is their wish to see more players from Double Action joining the national team.

Botana said though women football is still at its infant stages locally, their sponsorship is not much about gaining something but that they are doing it as part of their corporate social responsibilities.

NTR Technologies is an engineering company dealing in industrial automation. Double Action technical director Agreement Podi said it takes passion to be able to get many sponsors at the same time. However, he expressed worry that getting more financial help may create a big gap between his team and other women's teams, a thing that may result in his team not getting enough competition. Double Action has won all the three editions of the women's league since the league was resuscitated three seasons ago.

Podi also encouraged other teams to work hard to brand themselves to make it easier for them to get sponsors too. He said women's teams are the most marketable. Podi said there is no sponsor for the league and that it is up to teams to find their individual sponsors to motivate their players.

Podi also hoped that his team would be an inspiration to other teams in as far as getting sponsors is concerned.
