SA's Keke Comes To Town

 

Phoofolo is expected to share the stage with tried and tested local gospel artist in Mpho Nakedi, Phempherethe Pheto, Mmereki Marakakgoro and the Hosana Gospel Choir. The director of Hosana Gospel Ministers Thatayaone Matlapeng said they decided to bring older singers to perform with Keke because it seems they are forgotten. Keke is one of the most followed gospel singers in the region and Matlapeng said his visit would give his followers a rare opportunity to see him in action. The charismatic singer is also expected to launch his latest album, Holy of Holies. Born and raised in Pimville, Soweto, Keke started his singing career in the late 90s doing vocal work for popular gospel artists like Redeemed, Benjamin Dube and Joyous Celebration.

The father of two boys went solo in 2006. He has three albums under his belt, Revival and the latest Holy of Holies. Keke is known of his energy and charisma in his songs. The three-time South African Music Awards (SAMA) nominee also presents two gospel programmes, In his presence and Sprit of praise on etv. Entrance fee for the concert is P100.
