Dignash, Tumi, Sly, all for Gabz FM?

Bissau, the son of businessman Parks Gaobakwe, has announced that he is in talks with Gabz FM in a move that could usher in some radical changes.  The plan includes presenters like DJ Sly of RB2, who is penciled to do a 12-3 drive show, Dignash Morapedi, from Duma FM, who will do a  3-6 drive, while Tumi Ramsden of Yarona FM,  who would  anchor the breakfast show.

Bissau, along with Thapelo Pabalinga of Leap Frog, staged the most lucrative Miss Botswana pageant last year, which saw the winner driving away a top of the range Mercedes Benz car, plus a P50, 000 bursary, while runners-up also won P50, 000.

Mmegi understands all the three presenters have already been given contracts to sign and that when Dignash unceremoniously quit Duma FM late last year he was specifically eyeing the Gabz FM deal. Bissau confirmed he was working on something but said it was too early to go on record as the talks were still continuing. However, Mmegi understands that Bissau's move is being counteracted by the likes of Duma FM and Gabz FM who have got wind of the deal. Mmegi can reveal that following Bissau's presentation of his plan to the Gabz FM management, a certain Gabz FM manager also attempted to recruit the three some to the station, while another consultant has also approached them on behalf of Duma FM.

In fact rumours were rife at the end of the week that DJ Sly of RB2 might be heading to Duma FM next month, although the DJ dismissed them as mere speculations. ' I have not signed anything with anyone as I'm speaking to you right now. Treat it as just speculations,' Sly said.

It is understood Bissau's plan has been stalled by the radio hosts' decision to drag their feet on the contracts he gave them to sign, but sources close to the most sought after radio presenters say the targets thought they were being used as pawns in power play.
