FNBB northern regional branch opens in March

The bank's head of marketing and communications, Bomolemo Selaledi says that the new building in Francistown was established as part of the bank's expansion programme.

The building is spacious and modern, providing a more comfortable workplace. It also carries the new FNBB look.

With the FNBB head Office based in Gaborone, FNB found it ideal for the regional office to be based in Francistown as the bank continues to expand and increase its footprints throughout the country by opening new branches and self-service channels.

The plan was initiated due to the mining boom in Francistown, leading to a sharp rise in demand for related goods including banking.'A Regional Office in Francistown serves to re-affirm FNBB's commitment to bringing banking facilities closer to the people.

'Establishing a presence in the region will help ensure that our support to customers is as timely and relevant as possible. Periodically, the bank conducts customer surveys to identify specific customer needs and concerns as well as potential shortcomings in our service delivery,' added Selaledi.

She added that 'in view of the increased customer base at the current branch over the years, 'it was important to create a much more spacious building so as to offer a more friendly and relaxed environment.'

Bulk earthworks commenced in July 2008 and site establishment started in October 2008.
