New Tafic coach promises changes

Only the paper work prevented Shinde from being on the bench as he had to watch the game from the touchlines.

'Hopefully, the issue of papers would have been ironed out before end of this week; I should be on the bench this weekend,' said Shinde.

The man from Kitwe, on the Zambian Copperbelt, said he was not perturbed by the gaping loss and that, just like every other coach, his hope was to turn the fortunes of Machimenyenga around.

'I know I can do it. We may have been beaten hands down, but we are using this game as a learning process. We are looking forward. We still have a long way to go,' said Shinde after the game.

Shinde, like former Township Rollers' mentor Freddie Mwila, coached an elite league team in Kitwe before landing at TAFIC who have since parted ways with caretaker coach, Ricardo Marape.

On the bench for TAFIC was faithful servant, Wrist Mmusi who from time to time trotted to where Shinde was standing to get instructions.

Notwane really found a ripe fruit garden as their goals started from the first minute when Elijah Kabwe eluded a sleepy TAFIC defence to score.

Hardly 10 minutes later they scored again through Barnes Radipotsane who also took advantage of a lapse in concentration to find himself face-to-face with TAFIC goalie, Aaron Molebatsi and slipped the ball into the net.

Within a minute of that goal, Radipotsane was at it again, looping a cross into the box, which found Kenamile Mani unmarked, and the latter did not hesitate to slot the third goal home.

In the 25th minute Tebogo Sembowa added the fourth goal for Sechaba.
Notwane coach Ernest Kofi warned other teams that Notwane means business.

'We want to make sure we do not make anymore mistakes this time. All we need is the right frame of mind. Otherwise we are back in competition,' said the Ghanaian mentor.
