Submissions continue in Kgotlele case

A three-man committee comprising lawyer, Omphemetse Motumisi, BFA National Executive Committee member, Patrick Mathe and a representative from the Department of Labour, listened to submissions from both Kgotlele and the BFA.

The first hearing was adjourned last Thursday to allow Kgotlele time to peruse some documents relating to the matter. BFA president David Fani, a lawyer by training, is said to have made the association's presentation before the committee while Kgotlele also had time to present his statement.

However, the full day was not sufficient for both parties to finish their submissions and the case continues tomorrow. Fani said the hearing would continue on Friday and after that, the committee would go through the submissions. He said the BFA is committed to a speedy conclusion of the case.

'The hearing proceeded on Tuesday but I cannot divulge what was discussed. Submissions will continue tomorrow and after that the committee will go through the submissions.

'We are working hard to have the case concluded as soon as possible,' Fani said.
Kgotlele was suspended after allegations of match- fixing surfaced soon after the Zebras' trip to China last September. It is said that the suspended CEO also faces charges of abuse of office.
