Lay-off worry Satmos in Coke Cup clash

The First Division side meets the Gaborone giants after their league match against Ferry Wanderers was postponed last weekend.

Satmos' spokesperson, Mpenzeni Sambandawe has said that they could have used the match to prepare for the Rollers' game.

He said the fact that his team has not played in the last two weeks might work against his players.

He stated that they are going to fight hard to win the Coke Cup clash against Rollers. He said his team will not give Rollers any respect.

'We are going to fight very hard to win the game and we aim to reach the finals of the tournament.  We are aware that there is a lot of money at stake in this tournament.

The game will also assist us to gauge our strength,' he said. He accepted that they go into the game as underdogs.

There is a gulf in class between Rollers and Satmos, a former Premier League side. While Satmos are struggling in fifth position in the First Division, Rollers are leading the lucrative be MOBILE Premier League log.

Sambandawe said that they have an advantage because their coach and director, China Mading knows how Premier League teams play because he has vast experience in the top division as player and coach.

Township Rollers' coach, Rahman Gumbo said they are not taking their opponents lightly.
'This is a cup game and cup games are tricky. We cannot afford to take Satmos lightly and end up losing the fixture.  We respect any team that we play against and the same goes for Satmos. They are a good side. That is why they reached this stage,' he said.

Gumbo added that he is impressed by the current performance of his players and they will be going into the game as favourites.

Meanwhile, Nico United will be travelling to the Kgalagadi Desert to play Second Division team, Kang Swallows.  Nico coach, Paul Gundani said preparations for the game have gone well and the team is injury-free. He said they will approach the game against Kang Swallows with caution.

Gundani said the two consecutive league losses his side has suffered should spur the side to turn around their fortunes at the expense of Swallows.

'Football is tricky and we might take them lightly only to be disappointed in the end.
I am happy to say that Thobo 'Fish' Kgoboge will be playing after missing action for sometime,' he said.
