New Bishop for Botswana

He has been a Deputy Bishop of  ELCSA - Western Diocese up to 31.12.2009  and is a citizen of RSA.

This, of course, is in line with the understanding of ELCSA that this is a  church in Southern Africa with Dioceses in Swaziland and Botswana.

The matter of unity of Lutherans in Botswana, especially between members of   the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Botswana under its present bishop Dr. C. Moenga and members of the Botswana Diocese of ELCSA seems to be a priority issue for all Lutherans in Botswana and in the whole of   Southern Africa, as we are all parts of one body, being the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is therefore my wish that  God may bless the Lutherans in Botswana through the efforts of the new Bishop of ELCSA-Botswana Diocese, Rev. L.J. Selwane.
May his wisdom lead Lutherans in Botswana to regain unity.
